In the gym we practice physical activity, which should not be confused with exercise, since it is planned, structured, repetitive and purposeful in the sense that the objective is the improvement or maintenance of one or more components of physical fitness. Physical activity includes exercise as well as other activities that involve body movement and are performed as part of play, work, active transportation, household chores, and recreational activities.
